GAME WRITEUP
Jun. 9th, 2012 09:22 pmThanks to everybody for our ~first trauma game~! I'll get to unscreening those surveys once I've updated the points doc, but just in case anybody's curious about this crazy game:
The googledoc was here. I had a lot of variables and probably miscalculated all over the place because I went for speed over accuracy. IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS, RIGHT? But here was how it worked:
Anyone who was voted as a FAVORITE got +1 point. Anyone who was voted as a LEAST FAVORITE got -1. If a character refused to name any names at all, they got +10 penalty points. Their ruthlessness score was subtracted. Using that formula, whoever had the most points per team (and who I knew was playing) was selected for the chambers.
Also, anyone who put down a description instead of a name was skipped over. Speed over accuracy and also I think that would annoy GLaDOS anyway.
Whatever people put for their willingness to hurt others was the number of votes they got per round. If someone put 0 or a negative number, their votes for who got to live or die didn't count at all (also if their survey annoyed GLaDOS enough). A couple Alphas didn't fill out the survey but I gave them (and Loki) 10s on faith. Everybody else who came in late got 1 vote per round.
I counted the METHOD of death one per person across the board, though, since it was already getting kind of complicated at that point.
Anyone who actively declined had their votes count as though they were cast to kill both, and their kill type vote going to the stupidest one. I didn't actually attempt to count non-votes as decline votes because I don't hate myself.
The first two were a coincidence, but after that I put the person I thought more likely to die in the murdery chamber. :')
