THE MARY SUE VIRUS
SO HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED TODAY:
Mary Sue talked everybody into trying to find their bodies by following their wifi signals (or as she calls them, their "auras"), and they found... a modem and router. In a room full of VICIOUS MURDERING CROWS!!
Except. GLaDOS miscalculated the deadliness of a room full of crows. They were in fact just annoying. Mr. Johnson was then dispatched to shoo everyone from the precious modem/bird room, and they obliged for fear of the many, many bullets that he holds within his turrety body.
Unfortunately, that is not their biggest problem, because the clone wifi network is now infected by Mary Sue's virus.
This virus can hit anyone, and is spreading rapidly. The symptoms are hallucinations in which the infected party begins to see the world through Mary Sue's illusions. They start out merely visual, but eventually all the senses are taken over. Infected parties see:
- The white walls of the Aperture facility become stone castle walls
- Crows are dragons
- Cameras are fairies
- Turrets are knights in armor (with machine guns)
- GLaDOS, on the rare occasions she actually shows herself, is your typical wicked witch, complete with pointy hat
- Mary Sue is the most beautiful woman you've ever seen. You can't even describe her. There are no words for how lovely she is.
The stronger the infection gets, the more powerful the delusions become. At the final stages, you start making up backstories for everyone and becoming very concerned with the terrible injustice that Mary Sue isn't ruling the Land of Aperture.
This is opt-in and will last an IC day or so.
